VOTING 101 - A complete step-by-step guide to voting in the October 26th Municipal Election

- Advance Polls - 10am - 4pm
- Online voting opens October 17th 10am and continues through October 26th 8pm

October 26th Election Day
- In person voting opens 10am - 8pm
- Online Voting closes 8pm
Are You on the Voters List?
Step 1: This simple link allows you to check if you are on the Voters List.

- If you are on the Voters List, you will receive a Voting Card in the mail with a personalized PIN which will allow you to vote in person or online.
- If you are NOT one the Voters List - proceed to Step 2
Step 2: How to Register If you are not on the list
Step 3: Oops, I forgot to register or I did not receive a voting card
- If you have not registered or not received a voting card by mid-October you can still vote in person.
- Call Elections Headquarters at 1-613-476-2148 ext. 1020 and they will give you instructions. You will need to bring proof of identification and residency or property ownership to vote in person. Full details here.
Who can vote?
- You must be a resident of Prince Edward County or an owner or tenant of land in PEC, or the spouse of an owner or tenant.
- A Canadian citizen
- At least 18 years old
- If you own or rent property in Prince Edward County, but it is not the one where you live, you are a non-resident elector and permitted to vote.
